Humor

explosion of laughter

I found this wonderful photo online. My gratitude to the lovely lady and handsome horse!

I love humor and look for it everywhere, and make my own when I can't find it. Here is a list of every book reviewed on this site that is humorous, or at least that I found humorous. The Guffaws are downright laugh-out-loud funny. The Chortles have humor thrown about, sometimes dark and deep, satiric, scathing; Some were written with a serious message, and others with the pretense of being serious, but are really very funny at the core. The Smiles contain witty and clever writing, which may be very subtle.

The Dark and Deranged Humor section contains books that are funny in a sick sort of way. If they make you laugh while still feeling sorry for the characters, I also have them listed in the Tragi-Comedy section on the Tragedy Index. There are so many levels of humor, and this is a mere attempt to classify it. By tomorrow, I may look at it all differently, and you may perceive it differently, too. But nonetheless, everyone is sure to find something here to tickle their funny bone!
