American West and Southwest

To those of us living in the east, the American West and Southwest seems like a different world, abounding with a totally different set of flora and fauna, breathtaking deserts, towering mountains and a unique distribution of ethnic groups. This page celebrates all that is special in this region of our country. Here you'll find books that are set or partially set there, and authors, such as Michael Crichton, who set most of their books there. You will also find coloring books with art of the indigenous peoples of the area, deserts, and other subjects that are particular to our western and southwestern states. I hope you enjoy the beautiful images on this page, all courtesy of Wikipedia.
