Dover Book with CD-ROM

Text Box with description of Book

This is a nice collection of historic images from all over New York City. Some are paintings by well-known artists, and others appear to be perhaps postcards, posters and some photos. Nearly all are labeled as to the view but only the works of art include dates. (The images on the CD-ROM that are not paintings are also labeled.) In addition, they are arranged by subject, for instance, all views of the Statue of Liberty are first.

They of course would be useful for any number of crafts or projects. I am glad I have this collection to use on my Americana, The Growth of Our Nation Index, but really, they are just plain fascinating to look at. As usual, I have included a well-rounded variety of images to give you an idea of what may be found in this collection. There are 170 images in all, so that's quite a few! Have fun browsing through these very cool vintage views.
