Dover book with CD-ROM

Text Box with description of Book

Of all the Dover books with CD-ROM, the repeatable background ones are the coolest. I find uses for all of the CD-ROM books on my site, but for basic utility, these have the most uses and are so easy to work with. You don't need to resize them, although you can, but because they are designed to repeat, little manipulation is necessary. However, I often adjust the colors, or they can be swirled or tiled or sheared—there are infinite possibilities. But if you need a basic brick wall, well, here it is, with lots of ready-made variations. I used this book on the Architecture page in the Cross-Reference/Resource section. I also used a brick background for the Victorian Houses CD-ROM and Book, and a stone pattern for the background of Diary of a Madman and Other Stories, plus numerous other pages on my site.

In addition, these repeatable background books have a picture gallery, and tutorials for using the images with different software programs you may have installed on your computer.

As is always the case, you may mouse-over any image to find its number on the CD-ROM and in the book. I have included a nice variety here so you can get an idea of the wide range of patterns. The ones in the top row are the original size (360 x 360 pixels). The next two rowa are resized to 75% and the bottom row, by 50%. The background is also from this collection.
