Dover CD-ROM and Book

Text Box with description of Book

When I was a little girl, I used to have books of discontinued wallpaper patterns. I enjoyed looking at them because I found colorful designs so interesting. Surrounding myself with color always made me feel good. I love these Dover picture books, especially the ones with CD-ROM. This particular book has a most gorgeous collection of vibrant images in typical Art Deco style using the stencil technique of pochoir. Therefore, many contain only four colors, but they are combined so artfully that the visual result is fascinating and pleasing. The Dover Design Manager makes it easy to use the images as wallpaper, so you can enjoy cheerful patterns as you boot up your computer or work on your desktop, or you can use them as inspiration for crafts, sewing, and coloring.

I have included some examples below of the diversity found in this collection, including some with four colors and some with more than four. Mouse-over the image to find the page number where it appears in the book and image number on the CD-ROM.
