Dover Coloring Book

Text Box with description of Book

Of all the 60-some Dover coloring books I have completed to date, (September 2012), this one still remains my number one favorite. It depicts life in and around a freshwater pond: fish, mammals, birds, reptiles, plants. The artwork is so interesting that the finished pictures are fascinating to look at again and again. Many are shown in an "above and below" water view, adding a little challenge to create that effect. Some of my very favorites are the Bullfrog, Red-Winged Blackbird, Moose, Beaver, and Yellow Perch. It helps if you have metallic crayons for the fish, and glitter crayons can create rippling water. Pictured below are the favorites I mentioned. The beaver appears up close, then in a landscape scene.
